Bicycling

WHAT WE DO - BICYCLE ADVISORY COMMISSION

Assess and review the bike path system within the village, and, where required, adjoining governments for the use and pleasure of the citizens of Libertyville.   Act as an advocate for a bicycle program within the village and other government units.  Foster bicycle safety through education, program enrichment and program coordination with the Libertyville Police Department, Public Works Department and the Recreation Department.  Report to the Village Board Public Works Committee regarding recommendations for bicycle programs with the village.

The staff liaisons to to the Bicycle Advisory Commission are Deputy Chief of Police - Administration Matt Goze and Assistant Public Works Director Laura Ditanto.

The menu to the left provides bicyclists with the information on Bicycle Safety, Bicycle Maps, Bike Repair Stations, Community Bike Ride and the Bicycle Advisory Commission.
