Signs

Overview

The Planning Division handles all requests for signs within the Village of Libertyville. Requirements for signs are governed by the Village Zoning Code. These requirements were updated in May 2015, a copy of the regulations can be viewed in Ordinance 15-O-40. Nearly all signs require a permit. The number of signs per location is determined by the square footage of the space. A copy of the Appearance Review Guide and/or Sign Permit Application is available for you to download. Sign requirements can be found in Article 11 of the Zoning Code (also refer to related amendments).
