Hispanic Heritage Month 2023September 15th-October 15th is Hispanic Heritage Month

At the September 12th Village Board meeting, Mayor Johnson issued an official proclamation recognizing September 15th through October 15th, 2023 as Hispanic Heritage Month. This is part of a continuous effort to recognize heritage months in Libertyville.

-The White House has issued a national proclamation here.

-The College of Lake County is hosting numerous events to celebrate Latinx Heritage Month.

-The Illinois Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity (IL DCEO) is hosting several events for small businesses.

-Cook Memorial Public Library has curated a list of recommended books that you can reserve online.

-The Library of Congress hosts a national resource website cataloguing events and resources for the month.

-The Smithsonian is hosting a number of in-person and online events for vibrant performances, lectures, and family activities.
